Sounds like the perfect night in?  Well gather up the troops and look through our list of favorite Holiday movies, in no particular order, for some holiday movie inspiration:

 

1.  The Night Before (2015)

Who:  Seth Rogen,  Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anthony Mackie, Jillian Bell, Lizzy Caplan, Mindy Kaling, Ilana Glazer & more

The Details:  Every year, on Christmas Eve, three childhood best friends go out and work their way through their favorite Holiday traditions while looking for an exclusive Christmas party called the Nutcracker Ball - New York City's best kept secret & invite only affair.  A series of unfortunate but hilarious events take them for a whirl after one of them finally finds, well steals, tickets to the party on the last year that they'll be doing the Tradition.

2.  Elf (2003)

Who:  Will Ferrell, James Caan, Bob Newhart, Zooey Deschanel

The Details:  Buddy, sneaks into Santa's sack one Christmas Eve and is adopted by Papa Elf and raised in the North Pole as an Elf.  When he finds out he's actually a human, he sets out on a mission to find his father and help him get off of Santa's naughty list in this funny, family Christmas movie.

 3.  Home Alone 1 (1990)

Who:  Macaulay Culkin, John Pesci, Daniel Stern

The Details:  No Christmas movie list is complete without this classic and its sequel, Home Alone 2.  Kevin McCallister is an 8 year old boy who gets forgotten at home while his family travels to Paris.    Don't feel too bad for him though, he definitely knows how to fend for himself & takes two burglars all the way down in this Christmas comedy movie.

 4.  Home Alone 2 (1992)

Who:  Macaulay Culkin, John Pesci, Daniel Stern

The Details:  The original cast rejoins in Home Alone 2.  Kevin and his family are headed to Florida when he takes the wrong plane and ends up all alone in New York City with his dads wallet.  The Wets Bandits are back too & after they confront him, he uses his resources to prank his way to taking them down...again!

5. Four Christmases (2008)

Who:  Reese Witherspoon, Vince Vaughn

The Details: When Brad and Katies plan to skip out on Christmas & go to Fiji gets ruined by a fog bank they're forced to spend the Holidays visiting their divorced parents and dysfunctional families in this funny film.

6.  Die Hard (1988)

Who:  Bruce Willis, Alan Rickman

The Details:  An unexpected Christmas film for our action thriller lovers.  When a group of people, including his wife, are taken hostage by terrorist Hans Gruber, its up to John McClane, an NYC officer to save them all.

7.  How The Grinch Stole Christmas(2000)

Who:  Jim Carrey, Taylor Momsen

The Details: All of the residents of Whoville are in the Christmas spirit and enjoying the Holiday season...All except one, the Grinch!  He's an outcast who hates Whoville, the Who's and Christmas.  He's on a mission to ruin Christmas for everyone. Will this tale have a Happy ending?

8.  Christmas With The Kranks (2004)

 

Who:  Tim Allen, Jamie Lee Curtis

The Details:  With their only daughter Blair headed to peace corp for the Holidays, Luther and Nora cancel their annual neighborhood Christmas party and go on vacation instead which infuriates their relentless neighbors.  On Christmas morning, they are left scrambling to get the party together when Blair heads home to surprise them.  Will they pull be able to pull it off?

9.  Fred Claus (2007)

Who:  Vince Vaughn

The Details:  Santas naughty brother Fred needs some cash & finds himself headed to the North Pole to work alongside Santa and his elves to prepare for Christmas.  When tragedy strikes, he's forced to save Christmas...can he?

10.  A Bad Moms Christmas (2017)

Who:  Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Kathryn Hahn

The Details:  Three moms feel overworked and under appreciated and decide to say "F**k Christmas Traditions" and do the Holidays their own way in this Christmas family comedy movie.
